Can I bring guests to my Haulover Beach wedding?

Yes! You can invite guests to your wedding at Haulover Beach. For more formal or clothed weddings, we can help select areas of the beach that are outside the nude zone.

Do all of my guests have to be in the nude?

Not at all. Haulover Beach is a very friendly beach, you can stay clothed if you'd like.

Can we have a private nude wedding ceremony at Haulover Beach?

Haulover Beach is a public beach, so complete privacy isn’t guaranteed. An early morning ceremony may offer more privacy as fewer beachgoers are present. Plus, you have the breathtaking views of the ocean as the sun rises!

Do we need a permit to get married at Haulover Beach?

Yes and no. If you are eloping and it's just the two of you or if you have a few guests, then no, you don't need a permit. 

If you are interested in having an altar, chairs, furniture, etc., then you will most likely need a permit.

What do I need to get married at Haulover Beach?

To get married at Haulover Beach clothing optional section, you’ll need a few things in place:

Marriage License: You must obtain a Florida marriage license, which you can get from any county clerk's office in Florida. There is no waiting period for non-Florida residents, but Florida residents must wait three days unless they have completed a premarital counseling course.

Officiant: We provide a licensed, professional officiant for your ceremony.

How do we get the Marriage License?

You can apply for your license in any courthouse in the state of Florida. For Miami courthouses, see here, or  you can apply online at the Port St. Lucie County courthouse. Just remember, if you're Florida residents, there is a 3-day waiting period, so think about that when planning your wedding.

How can we get our license if we come from out of state?

If you plan on coming to Miami early, you can make arrangements to get your license in person because there is no waiting period for out-of-state couples. If you're more of a planner, you can apply virtually at the Port St. Lucie County courthouse; just remember to schedule an appointment in advance.

How far in advance should I book my Haulover Beach wedding?

We recommend booking your wedding at least three months in advance, especially if you plan to have guests or add custom elements to your ceremony. This allows us to secure vendors and organize all the details for your big day. However, we also accommodate last-minute elopements depending on availability.

What is the best time of year for a wedding at Haulover Beach?

Miami’s weather is generally warm and sunny year-round, making Haulover Beach an ideal wedding destination in any season. However, the best times to plan a wedding at Haulover Beach are typically during the cooler months of November through April when the weather is less humid and there is less chance of rain. Early mornings and late afternoons are also great for avoiding the heat and ensuring a more intimate setting.
